Clayton and Frickley Club at Clayton

On a recent visit the Clayton and Frickley Club had Bradfield Farmers Blond available. The other handpump had just run out of Little Critters Single Hop Pale. Sharon the stewardessis thinking about the possibility of having a beer festival possibly in August.

The 1903 pub at Hooton Pagnall

A visit was made to the 1903 pub and kitchen in Hooton Pagnall to deliver some DonnyDrinkers. Three real ales available, a session pale ale from Chin Chin and Black Sheep Best Bitter are the two regulars, the Black Sheep Best Bitter has replaced Tim Taylor’s Landlord. The Yorkshire Grey in the city centre.

The Yorkshire Grey has reopened under new ownership. Darren Taylor is the new landlord, and he was for 13 years the landlord of the Winning Post at Balby and before that the landlord of the Plough at Balby for 12 years.

Latest reports indicate that Wetherspoons are no longer trying to sell the Gate House. Good news for the many drinkers that use it.
