On Wednesday, CAMRA members will present a petition to Number 10 Downing Street to protect small cider producers across the UK. We urgently need your help to boost the number of signatures to 30,000.
The petition Protect small cider producers recognises that small cider makers are under serious threat from the European Union (EU), which has demanded that the UK Government removes a tax exemption for very small producers. This would land them with a bill of up to £2,700 annually, driving them out of business and causing irreparable damage to one of the nation’s most historic industry.
CAMRA fully supports real cider and perry and we see this as a serious threat to a great British tradition. With just a few days left we are asking for your support to push this number up to 25,000 signatures by Wednesday (10th June). Please sign and share this petition to your friends, family and colleagues and ask them to share on social media.
